The Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Yard Supervisor / Driver to join our Blenheim School Depot.
This is a varied role that combines fleet coordination, yard management and driving responsibilities. You'll play a key role in ensuring our vehicles are clean, fuelled, compliant and ready for service each day, while also operating a daily school bus route.
This position offers approximately 40 hours per week during school terms. During school holiday periods, hours reduce to approximately 20 hours per week due to reduced school bus operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs and Certificate of Fitness (CoF) requirements
- Monitor and manage vehicle defects and maintenance issues
- Ensure vehicles are cleaned, fuelled and presented to company standards
- Carry out general yard and depot maintenance duties
- Liaise with external service providers and contractors
- Operate a daily school bus service
- Assist with fleet compliance and operational readiness
What You'll Bring
- Current Class 2 and Class 4 driver's licences
- Current P Endorsement
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach to work
- New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa
