Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for these grants your organisation must be based within Dunedin City Council boundaries. You must be a charitable organisation and ideally registered as such.
Funding Purpose We are interested in funding community groups and sporting organisations who are looking to improve outcomes for members of the Dunedin community. Outcomes which support at risk youth will be looked on favourably.
Application Process The application form details everything we need to know to assess your submission. Ensure it is sent to us by the due date of 1 May 2024. Grant Amounts and Allocation
The total fund available for the 2024/25 financial year is $10,000 including GST. The maximum any one application will receive is $2,000, the minimum is $200. The assessment will be undertaken by a committee made up of Go Bus employees, including management, supervisors, drivers and maintenance staff. It’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Funding Restrictions Funding is to be used for direct operational activities or small capital projects. It is not available for overhead expenditure. It can not be used for political activities, religious initiatives, or personal expenses.
Reporting and Accountability We will expect a post project report on a template we will provide. For larger grants, periodic progress reports may be required. For auditing purposes financial statements and documentation of how the funds were utilised may be requested.
Acknowledgment and Branding We require grant recipients to acknowledge Go Bus Transport’s support in their promotional materials, events, and communications, and will provide guidelines for logo usage and branding requirements.
Compliance and Legal Obligations All grant recipients must comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the execution of their activities, including health and safety guidelines, insurance requirements, and legal liabilities.
Evaluation and Impact Assessment The criteria and process for evaluating the effectiveness and impact of funded projects, is as follows
Alignment with Objectives How well does the proposed project align with the objectives and focus areas of Go Bus Transport Ltd’s sponsorship program, such as community development, sports participation, or promoting sustainable transportation?
Impact and Benefits What is the potential impact of the project on the community or target beneficiaries? We will assess the expected outcomes, such as increased participation, improved infrastructure, or enhanced community cohesion.
Feasibility and Sustainability Is the proposed project feasible and likely to be successfully implemented within the allocated budget and timeframe? We will consider factors such as organisational capacity, resource availability, and potential for long-term sustainability beyond the sponsorship period. Innovation and Creativity
Does the project demonstrate innovative approaches or creative solutions to addressing community needs or challenges? Evaluate the uniqueness and originality of the proposed activities or initiatives.
