Go Bus is New Zealand’s largest operator of passenger service vehicles, delivering high-quality school, charter and urban services throughout the country. In addition, our coach division, Johnston’s Coachlines, provides high-quality tour and charter services and enjoys a proud history as New Zealand’s pre-eminent coach operator. We operate 450+ dedicated urban service vehicles with a low average age - utilising primarily New Zealand built, Euro rated engines to maximise efficiency and minimise environmental impact. Go Bus is a significant operator of zero emission vehicles in New Zealand.
This role is based at our Auckland South depot, near the Airport. As the Service Design Scheduler, you will ensure our urban services are scheduled in the most efficient and operationally sustainable manner throughout the company. You will be part of a team who are tasked with designing the most efficient, effective and sustainable use of bus and driver resources. This is done by using a combination of software and your own scheduling skills. You will need to consult and work with stakeholders to make sure that is operationally achievable.
The successful candidate will need proven experience in service design and creating staff base rosters within a large organisation. You will need sound analytical skills with proven ability to monitor and analyse trends, make decisions and recommendations that enhance performance. They will need to meet agreed time frames for delivery of service and can demonstrate the ability to work in a dynamic fast paced, high volume environment.

- Experience working with bus scheduling / rostering software preferred but not essential.
