Go Bus Transport is the largest passenger transport provider in New Zealand, operating 1,700+ vehicles from 30 depots, stretching between North Auckland and Invercargill. As the Wairarapa Manager, you will manage the North, Southern and Central Wairarapa Sites. You will maintain the smooth punctual operation of school buses, vans on all routes within the contract areas. You will ensure that enough fully trained staff are available in all transport service delivery areas and that quality and safe procedures are incorporated in all passenger transport and charter coach operations. You will ensure all operations, people and services are managed in accordance with all Company policies, procedures, processes and ensure all administration duties are completed on time and as specified. You will also be responsible to develop other business opportunities such as Charters.
Experience/qualifications sought for the position are:
Key Skills/Attributes required:
- Level 3 NCEA or equivalent (evidence of Business/Operations related higher education is desirable
- Class 2 licence and P Endorsement
- Experience in managing a team
- Experience dealing with schools
- At least 3 years experience in a large passenger service industry or similar
- Experience in managing customer and stakeholder relationships with significant organisations
Strong Leadership and ability to manage teams
Excellent customer service
Excellent planning and organising skills
Advanced communication skills – both verbal and written
Ability to build and develop key relationships
Managing safety and compliance
Ability to adapt and cope with change
